He later became the Vice President in charge of Commercial Real Estate at Graham Mortgage Corporation.
Jerry is credited with providing start-up capital to several major Dallas real estate-related firms, showcasing his impact on the industry. After retiring to Fort Collins, Colorado, he established The Donahue Mortgage Company, which he operated until its closure in 2019 due to health issues.

Barbara was known for her love of travel, having visited over 61 countries across Europe, Africa, South America, and all 50 states in the USA. Her academic achievements included placing 1st in a city-wide science fair at Ursuline Academy in Laredo, Texas. She continued her education at Texas State University, where she earned a BS in Medical Technology, leading to a career at various hospitals as a lab supervisor and consultant.
Visitation for Barbara took place on September 29, 2025, at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas, followed by a rosary service. Her funeral mass was held on September 30, 2025, at St. Helen Catholic Church, concluding with a luncheon and private burial.
