Delta Air Lines is ramping up its nonstop flight services from Austin–Bergstrom International Airport, increasing options for travelers. Beginning in June 2026, Delta will offer more flights to popular U.S. destinations, including three daily flights to Indianapolis and new routes to Denver, Columbus, and Kansas City. Additionally, Delta will increase flights to San Francisco, further enhancing travel options for Austin residents. With these expansions, Delta aims to connect Central Texas to critical business and leisure destinations, making travel more accessible than ever.

Austin, Texas – Delta Air Lines has announced a significant expansion of its nonstop flight services from Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), enhancing travel options for local passengers. This expansion includes increases in daily flights to existing destinations and the introduction of new routes across several cities.

Beginning June 7, 2026, Delta will triple its daily flights from Austin to Indianapolis International Airport (IND), increasing service from one flight to three. Additionally, new nonstop flights will launch to Denver International Airport (DEN) on November 9, 2025, along with new routes to Columbus, Ohio, and Kansas City later in the year.

Delta will operate these new routes in partnership with SkyWest Airlines, using Embraer 175 airplanes that accommodate various seating options, including Delta Main, Delta Comfort, and Delta First. This strategy aims to improve flight availability and alternatives for the growing demand in central Texas.

In conjunction with these expansions, Delta is also set to increase its daily flights to San Francisco International Airport (SFO), starting in April 2026. The enhancement of Indianapolis flights to three times a day will further provide travelers with enhanced connectivity options.

This recent expansion follows earlier developments in 2023 when Delta introduced additional direct flights from Austin to several key locations, including Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Florida, and Memphis, Tennessee.

Currently, Delta Air Lines ranks as the second-largest airline operating at Austin-Bergstrom, having transported over 1.7 million passengers in the first half of this year alone. This number represents nearly 17% of the airport’s total traffic, underscoring Delta’s significant role in the airport’s operations.

This expansion is an integral part of Delta’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in central Texas and connect the region to significant business and leisure destinations across the United States. The introduction of more nonstop flights addresses growing travel demands from the Austin community, which has seen increasing air traffic as more individuals and businesses relocate to the area.

Austin–Bergstrom International Airport serves as a vital hub for commuters, tourists, and business travelers, and the added services provided by Delta are expected to play a key role in facilitating accessibility to major U.S. cities. Enhanced service options will undoubtedly benefit the local economy as more travel becomes accessible, fostering greater connectivity for residents and visitors alike.

Delta’s commitment to expanding its operations at Austin signifies a response to shifting travel dynamics and the increasing need for reliable air service. As travel patterns continue to evolve, the airline is positioned to meet these changes head-on, catering to the preferences and needs of passengers in the region.

With the growing number of flight options expected to draw more travelers to and from Austin, Delta Air Lines is ensuring that it remains an important player in the competitive airline industry while supporting the Austin community’s air travel needs.
