INNER SPACE CAVERN

Inner Space Cavern has been hidden for over 10,000 years and is one of Texas’ best-preserved caves. It was discovered in the spring of 1963 by a Texas Highway Department core drilling team and released to the public in the summer of 1966. Hundreds of thousands of people have visited this wonderful cave since then.

An intrepid highway department employee was dropped into the hole while standing on the drill bit and clutching the stem securely. He was the first person to travel into INNER SPACE. What a thrilling journey it must have been!

That cave was opened to the public three years later, and Inner Space Cavern has been a famous tourist site ever since.
They conduct tours every day and receive an average of 1,000 people per day on their three tours.

Beautiful formations, huge halls, prehistoric animal bones, and a genuinely unusual discovery narrative may all be found in this spectacular cave. It is always 72 degrees (but feels like 80 degrees because of the humidity) and does not flood during rainstorms.
