Springtime is just around the corner, and that means the delightful Red Poppy Festival is back in beautiful Georgetown, Texas! From April 25-27, 2025, the charming downtown area will be buzzing with activity as the festival celebrates its 26th year. Each year, this fun-filled event attracts a whopping 75,000 attendees, and this year promises to be no different with a lineup bursting with live music, parades, food, and family-friendly activities!
As the festival kicks off on Friday evening, folks can groove to the sounds of live music. The party starts at 7 PM featuring the energetic band Dysfunkshun Junkshun, who are sure to get everyone moving and shaking into the night. Before the concert, festival-goers can check out a vibrant artisan and food vendor market open from 6 PM to 9 PM where tempting goodies and unique crafts await!
Saturday is when the excitement really ramps up with the iconic Red Poppy Parade kicking off at 10 AM. Best of all, there is no admission charge for any of the concerts or festival activities! Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and coolers to make the most of their experience. Easy parking is available at the Williamson County parking garage and on Austin Avenue, with additional public parking options at Martin Luther King Jr. Street and West 8th and 6th streets. For those needing accessibility, handicap parking is conveniently located at the 10th and Main streets lot.
To make getting to the festival even more convenient, free shuttles will be operating all day Saturday, running from 9 AM to 10:30 PM to the festival from both Georgetown High School and East View High School. With streets around the Courthouse Square beginning to close on Friday, it’s a great idea to plan your route ahead of time.
