The current base salary for a teacher with three years of experience at Taylor ISD is reported to be $53,385. This competitive salary structure, paired with the new sign-on bonuses, demonstrates the district’s commitment to attracting high-quality educators to enhance the learning experience for students.

In addition to the sign-on bonuses, internal incentives are offered to current staff members who refer newly hired certified teachers. These staff members will receive a referral bonus of $1,000 once their referred teacher is successfully hired. This initiative not only encourages collaboration among staff but also ensures that the district’s recruitment process is community-driven.

Taylor ISD is a Texas Education Agency (TEA) Teacher Incentive Allotment district, which enables top-performing teachers to earn additional funding. Under this program, these educators can receive up to $25,115 more per year for a duration of five years. The district aims to expand qualification criteria for this funding to allow a larger pool of teachers to benefit from it, thereby increasing educational quality within the district.

The salary structure at Taylor ISD also includes additional stipends for teachers holding specialized roles. Bilingual education, secondary math/science, coaching, fine arts, and foreign language instruction all come with extra financial incentives. For instance, a middle school teacher with over three years of experience could earn a stipend of $10,000, and if they are certified in Spanish, they could receive an added $3,000. Coaches overseeing sports teams may earn an additional $5,500.
